Rowandale School were advised by the police to go into lock down and subsequently followed the procedures implemented by Harrison Tew.

At the conclusion of the lock down and the area being declared "safe" by the police, we received contact from Lois Hawley-Simmonds, Deputy Principal.

Lois outlined how proud she was of the staff and students at Rowandale and how they remained calm throughout the ordeal, resulting in the school being in lock down for just over an hour and a half.

After speaking with Lois, Harrison Tew are more than pleased with the way that the school responded. The priority being the safety of staff and students and this was at the fore, whilst ensuring that external parties and parents were kept up to date regularly with notices on the school website.

Harrison Tew are very proud of the school, it's response to the emergency and the calm and controlled manner in which it was clearly handled by the Senior Management Team, being led by the Principal Karl Vasau.
