Testimonials

“Auckland Grammar School has worked in partnership with Harrison Tew Emergency Planning Services since 2013, identifying and developing systems to ensure that when necessary we can respond in an timely and effective to a variety of emergency situations.

Our initial interactions with Harrison Tew staff provided us with confidence that they were experts in their field. A positive and mutually respectful relationship developed and we continue to be provided with a prompt, professional and practical service. The regular communications we receive from the team at Harrison Tew reassure us that they are aware of national and international issues that could have an impact on the provision of a safe school environment. The best practice advice we continue to receive as a consequence has allowed us to review and amend our emergency protocols, in a common sense and practical manner.

Our relationship with Harrison Tew does provide our large staff and parent body with comfort that we take our responsibilities to provide a safe environment very seriously.

“As a school, the health and safety of our students and staff is our number one priority. However, we are teachers and this area is not our expertise.

Harrison Tew are the experts and we have been delighted with their knowledge and professionalism in guiding us to ensure the safety of our students and staff is taken care of.”

“We have had the pleasure of working with Wade and Julia for a number of years now and during that time, so impressed have I been with the service they provide that I have recommended them to a number of other schools, both mainstream and special throughout New Zealand.

Our initial contact with Harrison Tew came at a very timely point as we had recently had a full school lock down due to armed individuals on our neighbouring schools grounds. The incident itself was well managed by our team here, but highlighted a gap in our school protocols.

At this point, it is important to note that Goldfields is an all age Special School. Our students number some of the most vulnerable individuals in New Zealand and come with a unique range of individual needs which present challenges to their safety, engagement in learning and general living on a daily basis.

Wade and Julia were not in the least bit 'phased' by the challenges our student body posed to establishing safe and reliable emergency protocols and met this challenge with such respectful interest and commitment that myself and my team were immediately put at ease.”

“Harrison Tew recently assisted us when we needed to review our Emergency evacuation policies and Crisis Management Plans.

We could not have made a better choice of specialist professionals. Julia and Wade (Directors) demonstrated an expertise and practical knowledge of plans and procedures to support and (un) likely crisis event and their ability to coach us through the procedures, left us with a strong sense of confidence and assurance.

I liked the way the got to know both us and our worksite/business and as such their resource plans were very specific and tailor made to our situation.

Julia and wade look to build good relations with their clients and are efficiently responsive to their needs. Nothing seemed to be a problem with them making sure we were at ease and had everything at hand to implement a successful management plan.

Induction support and coaching our management, staff and students was done with methodical ease, while their on-going assistance and availability forms another welcome dimension to their service.

Highly recommended.”

“In the process of setting up a new school I was approached by Harrison Tew with a solution to cover all of our emergency and evacuation processes. In the interests of time and what I saw that it covered I agreed to sign up. It has since proved to be a wonderful and inexpensive solution to what would have otherwise been hours and hours of work for me.

Not only did it tick the compliance boxes, which I needed to have ticked, but it has also been extremely helpful in meeting all of the practical issues which occur on a daily basis yet meeting those eventualities which we hope might never happen in our schools.

I am impressed with both its simplicity and its incredible detail when needed.”

“At Somerville we have found the emergency plan to be a valuable and a "living document". Although the plan is very thorough and comprehensive, it translates into simple and practical actions. Everyone is aware of what to do in an emergency and that gives us a good deal of confidence.”

“For many years our emergency response reviews have always been assigned to personal because “ it must be your turn to “do” health and safety”.

We now have a plan that has been tailored to our school, developed with our community and is relevant, comprehensive and works!! The training support and information sessions for parents teachers and students has been fantastic and personally I feel confident and able to deal with any emergency that arises.

The professionalism and integrity of Harrison Tew is exemplary Thanks so much.”
